Coach Katelyn

katelyn_imageCoach Katelyn started gymnastics when she was 3 years old and fell in love right away. She trained at Crystal Lake Gymnastics Training Center, under Vladimir Gogoladze who was a member of the Soviet “Dream Team” winning the team gold at the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games, and is also known for being the first gymnast to perform a triple back on floor in the Olympics, and she also competed for Huntley Unlimited Gymnastics School. She had the honor of representing Illinois twice at the Level 8 Regional Competition.

Currently, Coach Katelyn is attending McHenry County College with a Presidential Talent Scholarship and the Knights of Columbus Scholarship. She will be studying to earn an Associate of Science and then will transfer schools to study for a Bachelors Degree in Occupational Therapy.

In her spare time Katelyn enjoys spending time with her parents Mary and Greg, and also her four older brothers Kevin, Brian, Jacob and Eric. She loves volunteer work at Feed My Starving Children and she helps at her church whenever possible.

She loves her job as a coach because she gets to share her passion for gymnastics with the students she teaches and is excited to get to know everyone!
