Coach Kristina

Coach Kristina started gymnastics at age 10 at Woodstock Gym and Slim in Woodstock IL.    She continued with the sport into High School quickly making the team and becoming a star gymnast until an unfortunate injury forced her to stop.

She decided that the best way to continue with the sport that she loved was through teaching and coaching.  Her coaching career began in 1992 working at GYMerica, also located in Woodstock, IL

She has been working in the gymnastics industry for the last 21 years and loves working closely with all of the gymnasts.  Her passion for the sport truly lives on in her coaching.

Coaching Status: Kristina has experience coaching Preschool, Recreational and Woman’s Compulsory Gymnastics.  She has coached at Lake Owen Gymnastics Camp in Cable, WI for 10 consecutive summers from 1992 to 2002.  There she had the opportunity to train with some of the best coaches in the world including the top 10 NCAA coaches in the United States.  She has worked with John Spini (Arizona State), Clarence Johnson (U of I Chicago), Jesus (Illinois State), Don Osborn (University of Illinois, Champaign), and Gary Goodson National Coach (open Elite Development Program). She has also worked alongside Martha Karolyi, Marylee Traci, and Peggy Liddick. She has also worked with Olympic Team members such as; Kelly Garrison 1988, Svetlana Boginskaya 1988, Tatiana Gutsu 1992, Shannon Miller 1992, Kim Zmeskal 1992, Amanda Borden 1996, and Dominique Moceanu 1996.

USAG Certified

USA Gymnastics University: Safety and Risk Management Certified, Instructor Certified, Manual Uploads for Education certified, Pre-school Instructor Certified.
